Smarter set-ups for the 2026 season at the RYA Dinghy & Watersports Show
We offer a closer look at some of the rigging and hardware highlights on show from our exhibitors this year
From fine-tuning your rig to upgrading the small details that make a big difference afloat, the 2026 RYA Dinghy & Watersports Show (21-22 February) is packed with equipment designed to help you sail smarter, faster and with greater confidence.
Whether you’re planning a full refit, replacing tired components or simply looking for smarter, more user-friendly solutions for your sailing, the show offers the chance to compare options, speak directly with manufacturers and chandlery specialists and see products up close.
Here’s a snapshot of just some of the rigs and hardware highlights to look out for across the show floor at Farnborough International this year.
Control systems and lines
Among the new product highlights is the new Harken ILCA vang system, available from Harken and Sailingfast, which promises higher loads and smoother performance. Three units combine in a brand new, integrated system all pulling together to get you home first. Check it out on the Harken (H10) and Sailingfast stands (I30).

You can also explore Harken’s Single-String Control System on the P&B stand (L20). Developed and refined during 2025, it uses the latest Zircon and high-load bearing blocks to minimise friction and optimise mechanical efficiency, promising instant tuning, enhanced rig control and measurable performance gains.
Rope choice is also firmly in focus, with Sailingfast presenting additions to the Marlow Excel range, including Excel Fusion+ - the next generation of Marlow’s super light dinghy sheet. It’s incredibly soft, flexible and won’t absorb water, ensuring consistent performance. Plus, it comes in a range of bold colours to help you stand out from the crowd!
Rigs, spars and set-up options
P&B will be showcasing a number of race-developed solutions, including an Allen Solo rig set-up which combines innovative block design with the latest mast and boom technology.
They’ll also have on show Seldén's Worlds-winning Cumulus mast, suitable for Fireballs and Scorpions and fitted on several P&B Fireballs at the show. Designed for balance between weight and stiffness, it gives good gust response and control.

CB Covers and Trailers will have on show the Solo M2, and will be hosting SuperSpars on stand B1 giving visitors the opportunity to discuss their requirements and ask questions of the team.
Frensi (stand M22) will be launching their new Frensi 7 rig, designed for use on a Laser/ILCA dinghy. It’s a lateen rig that allows the boat to be launched with the sail down, so launching and landing in challenging wind conditions is simpler, making the rig particularly suited to beach sailing, exploring and less sheltered launching environments.
Also swing by the CF by L and L stand (D24) to explore their range of carbon fibre tillers and tiller extensions, spinnaker poles and accessories. They’re available in a variety of colours for dinghies, catamarans and keelboats.
On-water info and electronics
For sailors looking to add clear on-water information, Sailteck is presenting its new Race Compass, featuring easy-to-read twin digital display. It’s completely waterproof and shockproof, and is class legal for ILCA and most other classes and includes compass and tactical modes as well as countdown and time of day. You can find out more on at the Sailteck stand (E12) or P&B (L20).

Wind data and timing solutions are available from Windie, which will be exhibiting its anemometers and Pro Race Timers. Used by sailors and coaches as well as clubs, race officials and training groups, the Windie range now includes bundled packages for 2026, offering a straightforward way to equip, athletes, fleets or race teams. Find them at the Magic Marine stand (L8).
For communication afloat, Icom UK Ltd (stand J2) will be showing the IC-M25 EVO handheld marine VHF radio, billed as the essential marine VHF radio for all watersports and ready for anything on the water. Buoyant and compact, you can benefit from up to 14 hours of operation.

Transport, power and practical hardware
Helping you get to your next regatta or open meeting, check out CB Coverstore and Trailerstore’s range of trailers, including a special show deal of £950 for a 220/250/275 road base.
Electric propulsion also features in the hardware line-up, with Electric Outboard presenting its Momentum U2 1kW electric outboard. Lighter than most integrated 1kW electric outboards but delivering more than twice the power, the U2 is suited to a wide range of boats. Its detachable, waterproof battery includes an integrated trip computer with GPS while its multi-function foldaway tiller doubles as a carry handle. Visit the team on stand P20 to find out more.

Hardware to help with your essential fuelling and hydration, Sailingfast (I30) will also be stocking YETI drinkware and coolers. Built for life on and off the water, they deliver unbeatable performance and keep drinks cold or hot, food fresh and adventures moving. Sailingfast will be the first to showcase and sell YETI’s brand-new 2026 colours (revealed 10 February) at a retail show.
