RYA Scotland welcome Suzie Sturrock

RYA Scotland is pleased to welcome Suzie Sturrock to the team as our part-time Logistics Coordinator.

Suzie provides vital logistical support to our Performance Pathway programme and wider events activity, helping to ensure everything is in place for high-quality delivery on the water.

Her role will focus on keeping equipment and assets maintained, organised and ready when and where they are needed, supporting sailors, coaches and event teams across the RYA Scotland Performance Pathway and our wider programme of activity.

Suzie brings valuable first-hand experience to the position. A former performance sailor, she latterly competed in the 29er class before going on to coach within RYA Scotland’s Performance Pathway system.

She is also involved in Scottish Student Sailing and is currently studying at the University of Dundee. This combination of sailing, coaching and student sport experience gives her a strong understanding of the practical support needed to ensure top activity on the water.

Speaking on what she brings to the team, Suzie said:

“One of my favourite things is to help get people out on the water as a coach, sailor or in any other way and I think my enthusiasm for this is the biggest thing I bring to the team - along with the experience of fixing things to get people on the water at student sailing competitions and centres I have worked for!”

We’re delighted to have Suzie on board and look forward to the contribution she will make to well-organised, well-supported activity across Scotland.
