If you are currently working through a course, we strongly recommend completing it before 7 April 2026 to avoid losing your progress. If you have already completed your course and downloaded your certificate, no action is required.

Any course progress completed by this date will be lost as part of the platform transition. The new platform will have you enrolled in the course, but progress will be reset to the start of the course.

Due to differences between the two systems, it is not technically possible to transfer course progress data. We will maintain an archive record of all completions from the existing site.

Yes. If you have completed your course, your certificate remains valid, and RYA will retain a record of your completion.

RYA will retain a record of your course completion. If you require confirmation of course completion in the future, but did not download your certificate, the RYA are able to provide confirmation of completion of the course, but we will be unable to provide a certificate or certificate number as this is only generated when downloading your course certificate.

An active account is defined as one where the learner was enrolled within the preceding 12 months
and have not completed their course. For the transition to the new site, we will transfer those that were enrolled from 1 April 2025 to the new system.

If your account is active but your course is incomplete, your account will be transferred to the newplatform. However, no course progress will be carried over.
