The DSA is a charitable organisation driven entirely by donations and sponsorship, offering affordable sailing for all ages and disabilities. It is also a Recognised RYA Training Centre offering a selection of both classroom based and practical courses. In November 2024 the DSA received the Kings Award for Voluntary Service.
