The iQFOiL Fan Zone is coming to Weymouth
Get closer to the action as the Musto iQFOiL World Championship reaches its final day. Join us at Weymouth Pavilion for a full day of live racing, big-screen coverage, athlete interviews, music, family activities, food, competitions and opportunities to get out on the water.
Whether you’re a sailing fan or looking for a great day out, the Fan Zone is your place to experience the fastest Olympic sailing discipline.
Held at Weymouth Pavilion on Saturday 12 September from 10:00 – 18:00, plan your day to enjoy the ultimate Olympic windsurfing discipline.

Follow the final day of the Musto iQFOiL World Championship on the big screen, with live coverage from the racecourse throughout the day
Hosted by Lucy Mills, with Sandy Clunas, the Musto Main Stage will provide expert punditry and insight across the day, with special appearances from the British Sailing Team and international athletes
Watch the champions crowned on the racecourse, then welcome them back at the Fan Zone for the medal ceremony on the Musto Main Stage
A fun filled day out
Activities for all the family
There will be plenty for families to enjoy throughout the day, from interactive challenges to environmental activities and relaxed viewing areas.
Marine CSI sessions will give young visitors the chance to take part in hands-on, educational activities exploring the marine environment. These one-hour sessions are aimed at children aged 8–12, with some flexibility for slightly younger or older children.
You can also enjoy face painting, competitions, knot-tying challenges, putting yourself to the test on the Lewmar grinding rig and other activities across the Fan Zone.
Explore sailing technology
The iQFOiL is one of the most exciting and technical disciplines in Olympic sailing, and the Fan Zone will give visitors the chance to see more of the kit, skills and speed behind the sport.
Explore windsurfing equipment, watch on-water demonstrations and try interactive activities on dry land.
Expect pump foiling and eFoiling demonstrations in the harbour, a windsurfing simulator, VR experiences and opportunities to learn more about how foiling works.

Relax with local food and drink
Local food vendors will be available in the Fan Zone, including Portland Paella, Portland Pizza and ice creams. Weymouth Pavilion will also have bar and food options available.
Visitors can also relax in deck chairs and bean bags while watching the racing and enjoying the Fan Zone atmosphere.

The Fan Zone will bring together event partners, local organisations and watersports specialists to help visitors discover more about sailing, windsurfing, foiling and opportunities to get active.
You’ll be able to find out how to get on the water through the RYA, MG, Musto, Andrew Simpson Centre, OTC, Rockley Watersports and UK iQFOiL Class.
