Musto iQFOiL World Championship 2026

The world's best Olympic windsurfers are heading to Weymouth & Portland for the Musto iQFOil World Championship for a high-speed showdown on one of world sailing's most iconic stages.

Expect epic, head-to-head battles featuring Olympic medallists, World Champions and rising stars – all at speeds of up to 35kts (65kph) and set against the dramatic backdrop of Dorset’s Jurassic Coast.

From 7-12 September, windsurfers will race off Weymouth and Portland with the medals day on 12 September coming alive in Weymouth with a dedicated Fan Zone.

Get closer to the action as the Musto iQFOiL World Championship reaches its final day. Join us at Weymouth Pavilion for a full day of live racing, big-screen coverage, athlete interviews, music, family activities, food, competitions and opportunities to get out on the water.

Whether you’re a sailing fan or looking for a great day out, the Fan Zone is your place to experience the fastest Olympic sailing discipline.

What's on?

Watch live racing

Follow the final day of the iQFOiL World Championship on the big screen, with live coverage from the racecourse throughout Saturday 12 September.

Musto main stage

Hosted by Lucy Mills, with Sandy Clunas, bringing expert punditry and insight across the day, with special appearances from the British Sailing Team

Soak the atmosphere

Lively, welcoming and easy for families and fans to drop into, a DJ will bring the soundtrack at the Fan Zone, with competitions and activities throughout the day

Medal ceremony

Watch the champions crowned on the racecourse, then welcome them back for the champions’ arrival and medal ceremony at the Fan Zone

More than racing

Families can enjoy a full day of activities across the Fan Zone, from Marine CSI environmental sessions and face painting to competitions, knot-tying challenges, relaxed viewing areas and the Lewmar grinding rig.

Visitors can also explore the technology behind iQFOiL, with windsurfing equipment, pump foiling and eFoiling demonstrations, a windsurfing simulator, VR experiences and opportunities to learn how foiling works.

Local food vendors, the Weymouth Pavilion bar and event partners including the RYA, MG, Musto, Andrew Simpson Centre, OTC Watersports, Rockley Watersports and the UK iQFOiL Class will help create a lively space to eat, relax, get active and discover more about sailing, windsurfing and foiling.

Experience Sailing

Visitors will have the chance to experience sailing for free through a range of taster sessions running throughout Saturday 12 September from the Fan Zone. 

Pre-bookable activities include opportunities in dinghies, keelboats, windsurfers and accessible trips aboard M.V. Freedom. Spaces are limited, so advance booking is recommended.
