RYA Affiliation: Access your club credentials online
Complete your annual affiliation and find your club credentials in the RYA Portal
Thank you to all affiliated organisations that have already completed the annual RYA affiliation process and paid their affiliation fee for the year. Your continued commitment plays a vital role in supporting safe, welcoming and well‑run boating activities across the network of RYA‑affiliated organisations.
Once your affiliation is complete, all of your key documents and resources are available online via the Club Credentials area of the RYA Portal. This includes:
- Your RYA Affiliation Certificate – ready to download and share
- The latest list of RYA‑recommended policies and procedures to support good governance and safe operation
- Supporting guidance around policies and procedures relevant to your own setting
- RYA affiliation branding to help you demonstrate your accredited status with confidence
Having these resources easily accessible in one place makes it simpler for committees to keep records up to date, communicate affiliation status to members, and ensure your organisation is aligned with RYA guidance.

Still to complete your affiliation?
If your organisation hasn’t yet completed the annual affiliation process, there is still time. Completing the process ensures full access to RYA support, benefits and recognition, and enables your organisation to demonstrate your continued affiliation to the RYA.
Affiliation also helps affiliates put strong foundations in place so they are ready to make the most of future opportunities, whether that’s attracting new members, strengthening their governance or securing funding.
We know that many organisations are already working hard to create safe, welcoming environments for new and existing members. Completing the affiliation process is part of that ongoing journey, by recommending good practice policies, procedures and ensuring the right contacts are in place for your organisation.
This is important not only for good governance, but also for protection. Should an issue arise, having appropriate policies and procedures in place can help protect your organisation, your flag officers and your members, and provide clarity on how to respond.
It also helps the RYA support you more effectively. When we know what policies and procedures your organisation has in place, and who the right contacts are for which roles, we can better signpost guidance, share relevant updates and provide support where you need it most.

Need help accessing the portal?
If you’re experiencing any problems logging in, or are unsure which committee member has access to the Portal, support is available. Please contact the RYA Affiliation team at affiliation@rya.org.uk
We encourage committees to check their affiliation status as soon as possible and make use of the resources available in the Club Credentials area.
Thank you again for your ongoing support of the RYA and the wider boating community.
