OLDER NEWS
LGBTQ+ History Month
If you have been on any of our social media pages since the start of February, you may have noticed a slight change to our logo. This is because RYANI, RYA and the other RYA Home Countries are showing their support for LGBTQ+ History Month
We believe that boating should be open and welcoming to all, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or ability.
Throughout February, the RYA logos will reflect our support of the LGBTQ+ community. We want to cement the RYA’s commitment as an ally to LGBTQ+ boaters and reiterate that anyone is welcome within our sport.
We believe amazing things are possible when equality, diversity and inclusion are woven into workplace culture. LGBTQ+ History Month is a special time to introduce new activities and initiatives that help champion a diverse and equal boating community where our members feel free to be themselves. Everyone deserves to feel welcomed, respected and included in sport.
Visit the RYA website for further information about Equality, Diversity and Inclusion at the RYA: http://rya.org/qYSh50HIZBn
